Abstrak

This research aims to describing the character education values contained in Folklore Umbu Ndelu and Rambu. This study was viewed from the theory of cultural linguistics, which is one of the new theoretical perspectives in cognitive linguistics that examines the relationship between language, culture, and the conceptualization of a society. This study used descriptive-qualitative method. The subject of this study was the folklore of Umbu Ndelu and Rambu Kahi, which were gathered from existing documents, such as books, journals, articles, research results, and on youtube. The result showed that there are some character education values contained in the folklore of Umbu Ndelu and Rambu Kahi, and they are: religious value, moral value, social value, and cultural value.
